The Spider Woman (1944)
Murder mystery in which renowned detective Sherlock Holmes is called upon to investigate a series of apparent suicides that have taken place in peculiar circumstances. He soon deduces that they are in fact murders committed by a woman. Disguised as an Indian, he uncovers a world of illicit gambling and insurance scams, and finds himself a target of the evil murderer.

The Scarlet Claw (1944)
The sleuths investigate a series of grisly murders in a small Canadian village called La Mort Rouge during the Second World War. The villagers believe the deaths are the work of a phantom, according to an old legend, and they see things which support this. Holmes and Watson have to prove otherwise, and stop the killer.
